Carlo Fierens—August 17, 2019
Carlo Fierens was born in Finale Ligure, Italy. He has performed across America, Europe, and Asia, in prestigious venues such as the Kennedy Center in Washington (USA), Academy Hall of the Baptist University in Hong-Kong, Museo Metropolitano de Buenos Aires (Argentina), and the Sala delle crociere in Roma He will present a program focused on guitar adaptations of famous Opera pieces, entitled A guitar at the Opera.
Carle Costa—September 28, 2019
Carlé Costa was born in 1959 in Uruguay and grew up in Argentina. He currently lives in Berlin, Germany. As a pioneer of contemporary music of Latin America, he has contributed to its popularity with numerous performances and comprehensive teaching since his early youth. He performs regularly solo, as soloist with orchestra, as improviser in different constellations, and toured several times sponsored by the Goethe Institut and the Berliner Senatskanzlei.
Yu & I—November 16, 2019
Winners of the Beverly Hills National Auditions, YuEun Kim and Ines Thomé met in 2013 when they both had just moved to the U.S., YuEun from Korea and Ines from Germany. Ms. Kim, a violinist, has won top prizes at the Korean Times Music Competition, Kumho Art Hall Recital Series Competition, Sungjung Competition, Music Education News Concours, and the Seoul High Schools Chamber Music Competition. Ines Thomé, a multi-instrumentalist in many different styles, plays electric guitar, lute, theorbo, baroque guitar, banjo, and mandolin.

Beijing Guitar Duo—February 8, 2020
Composed of guitarist Meng Su and Yameng Wang, the Beijing Guitar Duo has performed throughout Europe, Asia, and North America. The Beijing Guitar Duo’s performances and recordings have impressed the public with “an ability and artistry that exceeds their years.” Their debut CD Maracaípe, received a Latin-GRAMMY nomination for the titled piece, which was dedicated to them by renowned guitarist/composer Sergio Assad. Their second CD, Bach to Tan Dun, has been widely noted for the world-premiere recording of Tan Dun’s Eight Memories in Watercolor, specially arranged for the duo by Manuel Barrueco. A recording in trio, China West, with Maestro Barrueco was released in May 2014.

Winner of the Independent Music Award, in the Live Performance Album category for his latest triple live album “Encore” (2014), “Rose d’Or” of the Montreux Festival for his first album, “Près de Paris” (Switzerland, 1976), “Best World Music Guitar Player ” by the readers of Guitar Player Magazine (USA, 2008), Pierre Bensusan is recognized as one of the premier musicians of our time.

Mr. Barbosa-Lima studied with the legendary Andrés Segovia. Since his U.S. debut in 1967, he has enjoyed a global concert career marked by numerous distinguished recordings. His legendary albums of the 1980’s and 90’s on the Concord label – which include collaborations with guitarists Laurindo Almeida, Charlie Byrd, and Sharon Isbin – have been highly sought after by guitar aficionados and Latin / Jazz / Classical music lovers alike. He has also performed as a guest soloist with many of the world’s great orchestras and has been the featured performer at several prestigious music festivals.
